The Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada through the AIMS Committee organized the “Sharing Session AIMS Alumni & Opening Recruitment AIMS Student 2026” as part of the Kick-Off AIMS Odd Semester 2026 program. The activity served as an introductory and evaluation forum for the implementation of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme while also providing information regarding student recruitment for the upcoming exchange period. The event was attended by students, AIMS alumni, inbound students, committee members, and academic representatives interested in international academic mobility opportunities in the ASEAN region.
Several AIMS inbound students participating in the program included Aoi Funahashi, Rena Ishihara, Keiichi Narita, Yuki Yokoyama, Yusuke Fujii, Taiki Hinai, Kengo Matsumoto, Do Tung Lam, Nguyen Nam Anh, Kim Gyeong Rim, and Ro Jimin. Their participation reflects the growing international collaboration and cultural exchange fostered through the AIMS Program at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM.
The event aimed to provide information and insights regarding the AIMS Program, including student exchange opportunities, partner universities, academic preparation, and selection procedures for AIMS 2026. Through the sharing session, AIMS alumni shared their experiences studying abroad, adapting to different academic environments, and engaging in intercultural activities during their exchange programs in countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
In addition to introducing the recruitment process for AIMS Student 2026, the activity also served as an evaluation forum for the implementation of previous AIMS programs. Discussions focused on identifying strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in managing student mobility activities, academic support systems, and communication with partner universities. The evaluation is expected to support better program implementation in the upcoming academic period.
Through this activity, the AIMS Committee hopes to strengthen students’ interest in global academic experiences and encourage greater participation in international exchange programs. The event reflected the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to supporting internationalization and preparing globally competitive students who are ready to contribute in international academic and professional environments.
