AIMS Committee 2026 Faculty of Agriculture Visits the Global Engagement Office (GEO) of FISIPOL UGM

The AIMS Committee 2026 of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Global Engagement Office (GEO) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) UGM as part of efforts to strengthen the implementation of internationalization programs and student mobility activities. The visit aimed to provide insights and share experiences related to the management of international collaboration and global engagement programs within the university environment.

During the visit, the AIMS Committee received an overview of the international programs and activities managed by GEO FISIPOL UGM, including student exchange programs, international partnerships, academic collaborations, and support services for international students. The discussion also focused on strategies for strengthening institutional internationalization and improving coordination in managing international mobility programs.

The benchmarking activity provided valuable insights into the implementation of international engagement programs, particularly in the areas of administrative management, communication with partner universities, student support systems, and promotion of international opportunities for students and academic staff. Participants also exchanged ideas and experiences regarding the challenges and opportunities in managing international programs at the faculty level.

In addition, the visit highlighted the importance of creating a supportive academic environment for both inbound and outbound students while fostering intercultural understanding and global perspectives within the university community. The participants appreciated the opportunity to learn from the experiences and best practices implemented by GEO FISIPOL UGM.

Through this benchmarking visit, the AIMS Committee 2026 of the Faculty of Agriculture hopes to strengthen its preparation for upcoming international mobility programs and further improve the quality of international collaboration and student exchange activities in the future.
